About Nico

Born and raised in Houston, Nicole fell in love with dance at the age of three. Her dance journey began at Uptown Dance Centre where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. On summer breaks, she furthered her training at Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, Ad Deum, and BODYTRAFFIC. Nicole competed in the Youth America Grand Prix in Texas and placed in the Top Twelve in both the Ballet and Contemporary categories. She went on to study Modern Dance Performance on merit scholarship in the prestigious University of Oklahoma’s dance program under the direction of Austin Hartel and Roxanne Lyst. During her time at OU, she danced principal roles and performed across the globe in dance festivals in Beijing and Barcelona. After OU, she made her professional debut with the contemporary ballet company Uptown Dance Company. Nicole specializes in teaching ballet, contemporary, jazz, and modern to children and adults. Currently, she teaches dance at Vdanse Academy, works as a freelance professional dancer, and teaches Pilates classes at Body Rock Pilates. Nicole is thrilled to start COREo by Nico classes and can't wait to dance with everyone!
